The effect of clouds on climate: A key mystery for researchers | Energy Bulletin

This article is an excellent summary of the current research on the impact of cloud formation in a global warming scenario. There is still a huge degree of uncertainty as to the impact of clouds in a warming climate, what types will be created and where. There are models that suggest a possible negative feedback or cooling effect, and others that suggest a weak positive feedback or warming effect. The science is getting better, but scientists suggest it will be another ten or 15 years before they can say definitively how clouds interact with global warming.
